The Administration Division is one of the key divisions of UPDESCO. The work of this division may be divided in two parts, one as a establishment function and the other as administrative function.

The establishment division appoints officers and employees as per the approved structure, maintains their personnel's records, deals in promotions of the staff, do wages/salary fixation, keeps leave records prepares replies Assembly questions and RTI. The division maintains the court cases. The Administration division organizes Meeting of Board of Directors. This division does the work of building maintenance and purchase the asset and consumables for office use etc.

The head of the division is the General Manager (Administration), an ex­ officio office of Government of Uttar Pradesh supported by In charge (Administration), Assistant Administrative Officer, Section Officer, Sr. Research Officer, Office Superintendent, Junior Engineer (Electrical) and Assistant Grade-l etc.

The main functions of the Administration division are as follows:-

Function of establishment wing

  • Appointment of Regular Officers and employees as per the approved structure by the State Government.

  • Honorarium to the employees of the Corporation and its Administrative Department.
  • Deputation Matters of the Corporation employees.
  • Promotion .matters of the offices and employees of the Corporation.
  • Leave matters of officers and employees of the Corporation ie, Earned, Medical, Casual Extraordinary leave and leave without pay etc.
  • Training to the employees of the Corporation.
  • Disposal of matters regarding Employees and Officers Welfare Association.
  • Maintenance and Updating of character rolls of officers and employees of the Corporation.
  • Maintenance of incumbency register.
  • Selection Grade, Time Scale and stagnation cases of employees of the Corporation.Bonus, Gratuity and others allowances payable from time to time to employees of the Corporation.
  • Issuance of Office Orders as per the instructions of Managing Director and other Sr Officers of the Corporation.
  • All the works regarding Company Law provisions.
  • Pay Commission and pay discrepancies matters of the employees of the Corporation.
  • Matter regarding Service Rules of the Corporation.
  • Pairvee of Court cases against the Corporation in Supreme Court, High Court and other Courts, maintenance and records of Court cases, Coordination with Legal Advisors of the Corporation and to file counter Affidavit etc. before the court with the help of Legal Advisors.
  • Reply of questions raise in the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad by its honorable Members from time to time with supplementary documents.
  • Information to Lovamukh.
  • Information under RTI Act 2005.
  • Maintenance of Government orders issued from Time to time by State Government.
  • Information to IT department, Govt. of UP, UP Govt’s various deptt. Undertakings and Bureau of State Public enterprises, Employment exchange, Central Govt. And other Deptt./Organization.
  • Information regarding SC/ST/OBC, Disable, freedom Fighters to concerning Commissions/Deptt.Information regarding Apprenticeship Act.

Function of administrative wing

  • All the works related to Review Meetings of Managing Directors.
  • Maintenance of Telephone, EPABX, Fax. CUG Mobiles and Dongles of I internet etc.
  • Printing and Binding.
  • Purchase of stationary and office equipments etc.
  • Maintenance of Office equipments, Computer accessories etc.
  • Maintenance of imprest Account.
  • To organize Board and AGM Meetings from time to time.
  • To organize national holidays Celebrations.
  • To organize Seminars and Meetings.
  • Maintenance of vehicles of the Corporation and Fuel etc.
  • Maintenance of File index, Register.
  • Distribution of works between class Ill and IV employees of the Corporation.
  • Security Service of the Corporation.
  • Distribution of yearly Liveries and uniforms of the employees of the Corporation.
  • Physical verification of assets and Library etc. of the Corporation.
  • To organize condolence Meetings etc.
  • Maintenance of Office decoration. Electric. Cleaning and Repair etc. of the Corporation assets.
  • Annual Maintenance of Air Conditioners, personal Computers, Stabilizers and other office equipments of the Corporation.
  • Maintenance of Fire extinguisher etc.
  • Maintenance of Photocopy Machines.
  • Washing of Curtain and Towels of the Corporation.
  • Payment of House Rent. Water taxes and Electric Bills etc. of the Corporation.
  • Insurance of Office Building, Furniture’s and other equipments etc.
  • Maintenance of tree, tree pots etc. in office premises.
  • Maintenance of Stores, Store hems, Issuance of materials, Collections of materials, Issuance of No dues Certificates and Books keeping of the Corporation.
  • Condemn of unusable Items of the Corporation.
  • Maintenance of In/Out Dok of the Corporation.
